Alhambra Model : 11P A,

The Top of the All-Solid-Woods of the line, a solid German Spruce with evenly sharp grains top which normally can be found in concert guitars. The back/side are from P=Palosanto / Indian Rosewood premium quality which are darker/more contrast red/dark-brown grains as typical AAA Indian Rosewood. There is extra 20th fret-wire which allow you to generate the high C note (which is missing on any standard 19 frets classic guitars). The machine head are with embossed “A” logo as it is Alhambra Gold chrome ornaments plates with 6 ebony buttons. The new 2012 shipment of 11P A comes with gorgeous Rosette matched with the triple green-yellow-green linings, double yellow lines back/side, rosewood full bindings are gorgeous Spanish guitar indeed.

Note : 11C is with Mahogany back/side, cedar top, although it is not common to chose mahogany wood on advance bracing construction like in 11P A, if exist then 11C is much cheaper price & offer less sound quality on the richness of harmonics. We strongly recommend 11P at this all solid wood advance level.

The model 11P A and 10P A have the same inner bracing top, making both models exclusively apart from the lower models. The 2012 new 11P A piece that we have in stock have extraordinary book-matched gorgeous darker, some reddish grains in the centre & more contrast Indian Rosewood sides. With solid top best quality, naturally well seasoned German spruce in perfect 1mm parallel sharper grains, it is an assurance serious classic guitar at affordable price. As the result, model 11P A although share the same bracing with 10P A, it offers you richer harmonic character than 10P, the top evenly resonate with deeper sustain in every single frets position for each 6 strings, zero wolf (dead) note on this top model. My analyses that the combine special 5 bracing and floating bridge in parallel to underneath bridge with top quality woods, makes it possible to achieve this sound quality.

When it is inspected out of the box, we feel this model has it’s high end character like a grand piano and in the long run, the AAA solid spruce top may promise you for more decent sound improvement over the time if you maintain & keep it in proper condition.
The inner construction catch my detail observation, bracings are made from better quality of solid wood with properly pointy scalloped bracing fins at both ends. It is NOT following to the traditional old-school of Torres but it offer 5 scalloped bracing spruce wood fins, carefully shapes sharper & aerodynamically taller & more pointy than earlier models. The main difference is the special ‘Floating “U” Bridge’ under the bridge which inter-connect each 5 fins but floating against the spruce top. This special floating U bridge allow the top produce deeper resonance, much clearer treble as all the 5 fins work together to response every single notes. You will find at this model have the ‘grand-piano’ like of harmonics frequency or higher head-room for tone colouring than the traditional 7 fins bracing. Overall assessment this is the level of the advance all solid woods Concert guitar.

The new 2012 just arrived shipment on model 11P A
We just received the latest delivery 15 April 2012, once opened & tuned out of the box, the 11P A immediately offer decent sound and becoming better & better in each every hours after you played it. I found there are sound quality refinement / improvement as compare to previous years of shipments. The Alhambra decided to apply with new 2012 luxurious red-dot/ green-cross on chess-board like with black lining rosette design which only add the value & professional looks of this model. Who said that Alhambra never put improvement year on year on every models ? this is just one the many proof list.

The 11P A physical traits
Perfect workmanship & world class polish/ super shiny gloss finish that is my first impression on 11P A came with sharper & evenly parallel Spruce grains, AAA quality with darker & reddish solid rosewood grains quality than the lower all solid wood models. This is the model which you can find 5 bracing fins interconnected with a lateral floating U bridge parallel underneath the guitar’s bridge of the inner guitar’s top body, a guarantee of much a break-through inner bracing construction which will translates into ‘grand-piano’ like sound with longer projection & more power overall. The inner kerf to the top and back are made of better solid woods which add-on the stiffness overall body structure. There are more vertical side bracing enforcement than in the 10P. The scalloped bracings top & back are shaped more aerodynamically ensuring smoother acoustic wave propagation toward the sound-hole. Alhambra crafted carefully the semi-D shape neck on this model, ensure swift handling & more comfortable play. The smooth gloss neck finish add my comfort feeling that yes it is a decent made guitars, you shall agree with me to treasure good feeling when your left hand hold the neck. The neck thickness is 22mm and nut width = 52.4 mm, the strings spacing = 42.4mm
