About Cocobolo (Dalbergia Retussa)
The Cocobolo wood in this model comes with different contrast colors, ranging from yellowish, orange, red, dark red and shades of dark brown to black streaks, it has so gorgeous curvy grains. Please note : due to highly curvy grains & variation of color complexion, every piece of guitar may have variation of woods and it is impossible to get 2 or more identical wood grains patterns.
The natural habitat : Central America
Esteve S.L chose the elegant cocobolo pieces and cut it at the center book matched back, the attached both sides tidily without adding central binding, making the cocobolo back looks very elegant (as if a one piece wood back) on this guitar. The age of the tree is associated with the darker streak color & contrast.
Cocobolo is in limited supply as compare to relatively very high demand globally, and is likely to be quite expensive timber for high end music instruments. The prices is comparable to other high end exotic rosewoods in the Dalbergia genus.
Cocobolo species is listed in the CITES Appendix II, and is on the “vulnerable state” due to a population reduction of over 20% in the past three generations, caused by a decline in its natural range, and massive exploitation in the past years.

Powerful projection
Surprisingly delivers warm solid tones (this is however still a full Spanish guitar with limited usage of carbon fibre layers on only 4 braces)
long sustain notes for every frequencies
overall character is a balance guitar
Scale : 650mm
